Benefits of working with BulletpRoof Roof Systems:
Homeowner
I appreciated so many things about Marty and his crew. Marty was very good at explaining everything to me. He did what he said He would do from the start to the end. The crew were hard working they removed the old roof and installed the new roof in two days. I have to say I was even a little shocked at how well they cleaned up everything after. Such a pleasure working with people who are honest and hard working. I also love supporting a local business!

The Steelhead Community in Mission, British Columbia, has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s. Originally settled as a colony of newsmen who worked in Vancouver for newspapers like the World, Herald, and Province, the community was established by families who maintained permanent residence while their husbands commuted home on weekends. These pioneer families embraced the challenges of homesteading and adapted to a simpler way of life in Steelhead, despite being mostly "City Gals" unaccustomed to such conditions.
As Steelhead developed, it attracted settlers who found livelihoods in the abundant forests surrounding the area. Many residents operated "jingle-pot" mills alongside logging operations that supplied products to Mission. The first school in Steelhead was established in 1915, and the community saw the construction of its first community hall in 1929. Unfortunately, the hall burned down shortly after its opening dance on July 19th.
By the 1940s, most of the small-scale mills in Steelhead closed as the hills were logged and became unprofitable. In the 1940s, municipal forestry reserves were established, and in 1958, a Tree Farm License was granted to provide local employment and a wood source for the remaining mills. In 1955, a resident of Steelhead anonymously donated land, and in 1956, the Steelhead Community Association built a new community hall with funds raised by the Ladies Auxiliary and other means. The hall was active until the 1970s when the land and building were sold, and the association adopted the old schoolhouse as its new meeting place until it was eventually torn down in the 1980s.
The Mission Municipal Tree Farm, established in Steelhead, was the only municipal tree farm in British Columbia until 1993. It has been a significant source of local employment and revenue for the District of Mission. The tree farm operates with responsible and sustainable harvesting practices, providing stability to the community and contributing to community funding and capital grants.
Steelhead is a rural community located in the northern District of Mission, British Columbia, Canada. Situated east of Stave Falls, it is nestled in the backwoods north of Mission and is only one hour away from Vancouver.
